The slate pieces are heavy and need to be fixed securely to a suitable wall . They are predrilled ready to fix . Decide on location for piece, take sufficient time at this stage as drilling holes are neccessary . Hold slate in position ,mark through holes with pencil to provide a guide for drill . Drill using 8mm bit, when holes have been drilled use 8mm rawlplugs to provide grip for screws . Try and get someone to help at this stage , hold piece in position ,guide the 4 screws into the rawlplugs ,tighten to within 5mm with cordless drill, DO NOT TIGHTEN FULLY WITH DRILL as this could cause the area around the hole to crack, just use a hand screwdriver to fully tighten screws just enough to hold slate in position do not over tighten ,it is unneccessary. Use black screws so the heads match slate.
